Melt two tablespoons of French butter slowly on low heat, careful not to burn. Once melted, take your chicken wings (separated and cut if necessary), and toss them with the melted butter in a large bowl. Once the butter has coated the chicken, place the wings spaced apart on two rimmed baking sheets lined with foil and fitted with wire racks.
In a small bowl, combine the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika to create a spice mixture for your wings. Sprinkle the mixture over the wings, allowing the spices to coat and stick to the melted French butter.
Bake the wings until they are cooked with browned and crispy skin, about 40 minutes at 400 degrees. As an option, to make them extra crispy, bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, and reduce the heat to 170 for 30-50 additional minutes.
