French Butter with Garlic and Thyme Visual of a cow

  • 7 oz of salted French butter
  • 1 bunch of flat parsley
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 0.1 oz of anise seeds
  • Zest of 1/2 a lemon
  • 2 shallots
  • Ground white pepper to taste

Beautiful sprinkled over hot grilled clams or crumbled over Melba toast.


Leave butter on a countertop at room temperature for an hour to soften. In the meantime, rinse and chop shallots finely.

Into the butter, add the chopped parsley, crushed garlic, anise seeds and grated lemon zest. Work until blended.

Add shallots and serve.
