  • 1 cup unsalted French butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp. paprika 
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper 
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard 
  • 1 tsp. prepared horseradish 
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped parsley 
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped chives 
  • 2 tsp. finely minced thyme 
  • juice of ½ a lemon

Cowboy Butter

The butter for the grillers! We use it to drizzle on grilled steak, ribs, chicken, or pork. But you’ll probably want to slather this on everything. Credit Carter Kimble, @carter_bk

STEP 1: infuse the butter

Melt butter over the stove over low-medium heat. Add the garlic, paprika and cayenne pepper. Let simmer until fragrant.

STEP 2: add “heat”

Add the Dijon mustard and horseradish. Stir until combined.

STEP 3: finish

Turn the heat off and finish off with the herbs and lemon juice.
