Easy Puff Pastry

Homemade puff pastry is easy to make and perfect for all sorts of sweet and savory pies, desserts, appetizers and so much more!

STEP 1: Mix the ingredients

Freeze the small pieces of butter 10 to 15min.
In a large bowl, stir or whisk dry ingredients together. Add butter to the bowl. Toss it with the flour until it’s well coated. Make a well in the center of the bowl and pour in the ice-cold water. Continue to mix with your hands until you have a firm, rough dough.

Wrap the dough tightly with plastic wrap and leave it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes up to an hour.

STEP 2: Roll and Fold

Place the dough onto a lightly floured work surface, kneading it gently to form a rectangle shape. With a rolling pin, roll the dough into a flat rectangle. Fold the dough into thirds, rotate sideways, roll it out into a rectangle again and repeat 5 or 6 more times.

Step 3: Chill

Wrap the dough with plastic wrap and let it chill in a refrigerator for at least an hour. Once chilled, you can use the dough for your next recipe!
